About
My art practice radically changed in 2017 when I took a clay class. For over 40 years I had been a painter and known as a teacher of fresco painting. But since that first clay class I have been working full-time in ceramics. My ceramic sculpture quickly evolved from vessels to expressive sculpture that explore dualities in many aspects of life and nature.
My sculptures have been received well in exhibitions including solo exhibits at the Bailey Contemporary Art Center in Pompano, the Deerfield Historical Society and Sugar Sand Art Gallery in Boca Raton. And in many group exhibits locally as well as in Rome, Italy. In 2023-24 I was the ceramic artist-in-residence at the Bailey Contemporary Art Center in Pompano, Florida. Just joined zhibit and found it remarkably easy to create a website! Now i have to get better photos of the artwork and download images of frescoes and works on paper. While i am looking for a new studio this has been a good way to spend time.
