Hi friend,Welcome to my bio page..
Let me tell you a little about myself - for the past 14 years or so I have painted full time within my sunny home studio, in the picturesque Hunter Valley Region of Australia.
I have always been interested in painting & drawing from an early age. My love of horses as a young girl saw me creating picture after picture of these wonderful creatures. Where as an adult my interests and passions in subject matter expanded and grew as I saw more of the beauty in still life objects, my surroundings as well as portraiture of both people and animals.
My humble beginings began in High School, over 20 years ago where one teacher requested a drawing from me, then another and another...I obviously spent a lot of time drawing in stead of working! LOL this naturally led to family & friends wanting a painting or two to hang in their homes. It didn't take long before I was selling & being encouraged to enter local Art shows & the like, I begun winning various Awards for my works. Which has encouraged me to expand on painting styles and mediums while gaining footing in the arts community. Over the years I have exhibited and demonstrated in various Art Fairs, and participated in a variety of exhibitions within Australian Galleries, locally, inter and out of state.
The past number of years has seen me creating a numerous amounts of commissioned works that found homes for themselves within Australia, Tasmania, United States & Canada.Whew!
My palette extends from Acrylic & oils on canvas, charcoal, coloured pencil with pastel, pen and ink and mixed media on paper. when I felt the need to break free from the confinds of a canvas panel I extended myself to murals for myself personally & by commission.
2008, has seen me being part of a group exhibition with a dear friend of mine, along with her husband who are both wonderful artists...my selection of works for from this show are available for veiwing on the 2008 Exhibition Gallery page.
