I see artistry in all creation. I view it all with a sense of wonderment. Nature is a sign post without words that communicates love. Human constructs and humans themselves knowingly or unknowingly often repeat this message.

It is the desire to capture the essence of this pleasant message that drives me to photograph. I often think, however, that if I could better convey nature's message with words, there would be little need to photograph; but if I could better convey nature's message with a picture, there would be little need for my use of words at all.

I feel that it is not altogether correct to say that I am a self-taught photographer. It is rather more accurate to say that through years of meditative attention to other's work and words I have come to where I am today. I continue to slouch toward achieving my own most marvelous work.
