Many of my pieces originate from a discarded plank of wood, an old drawer, or a wood framed window nearing its landfill fate. These salvaged items are often pocked and crooked, warped or broken, and completely beautiful. When I work with recycled wood I aspire to expose the relationship between past and present, and emphasize the beauty that can be found in things imperfect.
