It's been a whirlwind the past two months with all of the traveling that I have done.  I am back from Europe and finally adjusted back to my own time zone.  Yeah!  We also did a quick trip to Napa Valley, California, last week -- just in time for "crush", the grape harvest.

I have a renewed energy and lots of new ideas to start painting.  Stay tuned!

Thanks to all of you who stopped by to say hello while I was showing my art at English Estate's Wine & Art Festival.   It was a great weekend of music, art, food & wine.  Those who attended were very friendly and appreciated the opportunity to buy orignal art from so many great local Vancouver/Portland artists.

Going to the post office has never seemed so exciting!  I' ve been ripping open my packages to reveal my newest treasures...beautiful new gemstone beads.  I'm looking forward to unveiling my newest jewelry items soon.  Stay tuned...

It's official -- I've fallen in love all over again.  Painting using mixed-media techniques has captured my heart.  I've never been one to follow rules when it comes to art.  I like to figure things out for myself.  Half the fun of creating is making mistake and learning from them.  Some of my biggest surprises have come from mistakes that turn into something beautiful.

Mixed media allows me the freedom to add so much more interest into a painting. My brain is swirling with so many ideas.  Thankfully I've been keeping my sketch book handy.  Now if only I could manage to fit a few more hours into my day to keep up!
