K.Lee Mock is a recent graduate of the BFA program at the University of New Hampshire. She works primarily in oil and acrylic painting with her interests in shape, color and textural qualities.
"Like a memory, my drawing and painting waivers in and out of focus. My goal through these compositions was to be able to depict observations as I remembered them through my imagination. Although these compositions are based in observation, the atmosphere and energy of my memory also shaped such perceptions. The objects depicted served to guide me through such an optical exercise between surface and depth. My interest was to capture the intangible such as air, light, and the space in between." |
