From a child I have always been able to draw. I did the school bulletins. Friends would come over and I would sketch them.
Art was a fun thing. I never had  taken it seriously.

In August of 97' I became very ill. My illness was very difficult to diagnose. In January of 98', after many test, I was told that I had AML (cancer of the bone marrow) In a period of one year, I was hospitalized 18 times. One stay consisted of 43 days. My husband whom I consider my angel,  Randolph was very supportive. He stayed right there by my side. He was with me every night over the period of 18 hospital stays. He was constantly praying and petitioning God for a miracle for me. The doctors had stated that I needed a bone marrow transplant to save my life. Without it, I only had a 0 to 3 percent chance of survivor. I had eight siblings that were tested and neither of them matched.

Normally one out of four matches in sibling testings. After that, I was placed on the bone marrow registry, about 3 1/2 millions people listed and still no match was found. I never had a bone marrow transplant. I am a miracle. We stopped all chemotherapy because it seemed to have been weakening my body and immune system drastically. With much prayer from my husband and others petitioning God for me, I am healed. A living miracle.

I know that I have a purpose in life. In the year 2000 after my mom died of a stroke, my desire for art began to possess me. God has given me a gift and I love to express it on canvas. The world was made by God and everything that dwell therein.  I express the beauty of God's creation in, landscapes, stilllife, people (portraits) on canvas. I paint in the medium of oils, acrylics, pastels and some watercolor.
