I have been fascinated with order and organization my entries life. When I add color to that mix, I am in heaven. My color collages
and paintings are intended to be orderly. I believe in chaos theory and that
everything from our veins and vessels to the trees and mountains is
patterned. I revel in the fact that
color can be ephemerally orderly and in pointing that out through abstraction.
In my latest work, I begin with a limited palette and work from an image or
memory of a landscape and from the
emotions those colors evoke. For me these torn paper collages reflect a
person’s outer environment or inner harmony. I work loosely or literally from
the grid.
