My ad (advertising my art lessons) will be found on a Cienega High School Drama brochure which will be featured during a play the school is holding this month. I am also in the process of creating flyers to distribute at the Acacia Elementary School in Vail. I had to pay for the ad for the high school, but the fliers to be distributed at the elementary school is "free" (I have to pay for paper and printing costs), but I had to get the approval of the school district's superintendent first. And I did it! Yay, me!
I am really excited for these opportunities to advertise my art and the creative services I offer locally in my community. I still think the best form, or rather more effective form, of advertising is word of mouth (from one friend to another), but we've got to start somewhere. All one can do is keep trying and keep reaching for the stars and solar systems! (me trying to be poetic - woot!)
